@ytj22 I'm hearing China made Tesla is better quality than American made ones. Less panel gaps and less rattling, overall better screwed together. Some high end brands like nio and zeekr have driving dynamics that of German BMW. Seems much better than mediocre Toyota and Nissan.

Clearly this channel is for people who are in denial about decline of Japanese auto industry. Sure they are nice reliable cars, but they are increasly falling behind global competition, and suffering from declining sales. I wouldn't be surprised Chinese EVs will be the leader in the next decade. Japanese cars still have reliable engines, but the infotainment system is so outdated and ugly to use, even in premium brands such as Lexus.

@ashishpatel350 the US subsidizes agriculture, oil industry, car industry, and Boeing. Yet American made cars and airplanes are the worst quality. . food filled with preservatives and pesticides.

@ytj22 yup from reputable Western journalists

@ytj22 have you ever been in a high end Chinese EV such as nio, xiaomi, zeekr? The fit and finish is nothing less than luxury and outstanding quality, yet at much less price than an entry level premium Western car.

You guys still Toyota fans? They faked crash safety tests for Christ sakes.

@AJ88874 It depends how much you drive. batteries degrades on calendar age, not on mileage.

Bolt was the only EV with traditional door handles. I cannot stand flush door handles. They freeze more easily in winter, and not convinient to use compared to simple grab door handles. Don't at me about efficiency etc. it's only 2-3% marginal improvement, not worth the reduction of robustness and ease of use IMHO.

You can't stop the long term trend. Electrification is inevitable. Toyota is very slow in injovating

Without EV or at least PHEV options, this is obselete.
