  1.  @User-q6x3b  not likely. Even if grid does fail, I'd much rather have an EV that can provide backup power to the house. You won't be able to pump gas without electricity anyways and refineries also run on electricity. With EVs you make your own electricity to from solar if grid really becomes unreliable or too expensive. With fossil fuel, you are completely at the mercy of government and big oils

  2. Doesn't matter how reliable or long lasting Toyota engines are.. Soon the world governments will tax the heck out of fossil fuels in order to force transition into EVs. it'll be too expensive to operate any gas vehicles. Your reliable Toyota will be worthless piece of trash
