  13. It depends what you define comfortable temperature is. Is her thermostat set to 27c? Gas furnace would have no problem delivering enough BTU to achieve it just slight whoosh. Can heat pump effortlessly achieve that temperature? How much noise will it generates while you are asleep?

I think if you really cared about the environment, think of using less resources instead of trying to show off your wealth by going solar, driving expensive EVs and rebuilding your houses with fancy green tech. None of this applies to 99% of world population.. It only serves to show off yourself and saying that you are better than rest of us.

  19. If you truly cared about environment why do you own a car at all? Take public transit, walk, ride bike. Why use dryer, just hang your laundry. Why have a big house? Live in a small apartment.. The money you spend upgrading your house and other green the gadgets and hiring people to work in your house, they spend on gasoline to emit more green house gas. Any money you spend into economy multiply 10x as they change hands and at each step more resources are consumed and more pollution created. The greenest country is probably the poorest ones also where people hardly consume anything. Countries like Norway are the worst hypocrites. Consumption per capita is so high.
