  1. Studies like this ignore the issues of individual differences. Some people are comfortable with 18C setting, while others wants 25C+ to be toasty warm. That will make HUGE difference in energy usage in -10 below external temperature. With ICE cars, the temperature settings at 18 or 26 dont change fuel usage as the waste heat as byproduct of burning fuel far exceeds the heating needs of interior. But with EVs, lower temperature setting no doubt will conserve the range. Heat pumps don't make much difference when temperature is -20, and you want interior to be 25.
