People don't hate EVs, they hate computer on wheels. All the new cars are "connected devices" with a stuck on tablet to replace all physical buttons. You have to dig through menus to do everything you were able to do to with a push a button in an older car. Some people rather keep old cars they are used to simplicity, than having to deal with computer on wheels and being tracked everywhere they go. Please make a simple analog EV, none of the digital computer, full self driving BS.

@imrytebeehyneu Again, it's not about EV vs ICE, 90% of new ICE cars are guilty of it also, that's why people tend to keep older cars longer. it's about simple physical controls vs stuck on tablet computer on wheels with overly complicated software that crashes once in a while. I can deal with the latter, but rather stick with the forner. Bolt EV was the last simple analog EV, but it's been discontinued. In Europe they still have Darcia Spring, but none of the new EVs in North America are being designed with simplicity and ease of use in mind. It's all about tech gadgets and gimmicks, that frankly does more harm than its entertainment purposes.

@imrytebeehyneu you totally missed my point. I'm not even against EV. I do drive an EV. I just don't like computer on wheels concept that's taking over the car industry. No I also didn't say bolt was better than Tesla.. Clearly bolt EV battery pack is inferior but I do prefer its traditional controls and ease of use. Please, just because Tesla makes an overall good EVs, don't become a Elon cult follower and everything Tesla has are the greatest and everyone should embrace. There are plenty of faults with Tesla as well And no. A car is not like an iPhone. That analogy has been over played too many times. I've had two Teslas since 2017 and 2 other EVs. I know more than you about EVs and cars in general. No need to lecture me about the benefits of smart car concept. You need to realize not everyone has the same preference.

@kng128 exactly. Tesla is removing all the physical buttons and stalls and even instrument clusters just to save cost but trying to pass it to consumers as some minimalist fashion statement.
