  1. It's not just EVs. Japan doesn't like to change. They still use physical money to buy stuff and you can still buy CDs and DVDs. Japanese like to keep doing the same thing over and over again, and find happiness in keeping old traditions. Changes need re-adjusting and hurts their brains.
