  1. It's really misleading to only compare mileage. It goes to show how uneducated most people are how EV batteries age vs ICE. Since there is no moving parts in batteries, it doesn't really matter how many miles driven. It makes sense for Tesla warranty battery by number of years, not on mileage. EV batteries degrades on calendar aging, and charging cycles, depth of charging and discharging, and temperatures in which it is charging, and frequency of fast charging etc many factors. It's absolutely pointless just give a mileage number and people go WOW. It is yet to be seen how LONG current battery can last in terms of age in number of years if maintained properly? I've seen some ICE miltary vehicles lasting well over 50 years. I doubt any batteries can go more than 15 years at current technology.
