  1. Heat pump should be an option. It's useful in temperate climate, but basically useless in extreme cold Canada north. With all that added complexity and cost and prone to failure when working so hard in very cold weather. Not to mention noise and vibration compared to regular resistive heater. At least heat pump equiped cars should allow user to choose which heating mode to use - heat pumo or resistive. Sometimes, when range is not a concern, but quiet and comfort is priority one should be able to turn off heat pump.
