  1.  @tysonn4736  Yes, the US can, but it'll cost twice as much as Chinese cars because of unions and entitlement mindset of workers here. Also, the US tends to hire the lowest quality workers in assembly lines. Everyone knows not to buy American made BMWs and Mercedes, or Toyotas, they are far less quality than the original foreign brand. Chinese cars are no exception. Chinese workers are a lot more dedicated to their jobs and disciplined, just like Japanese, and even better than Germans.

  2. Sadly this is not likely to happen in North America because of protectionist policies. Even in Europe, there are European brands such as MG under Chinese ownership that can sell cheaper EVs. In North America, there are no cheap EV choices. It's one horse race Tesla here, and I hate Tesla.

  3. Kudos to California. It should totally just leave the US, and become its own country, so it can import Chinese EVs without being dragged down by other backward looking states like Michigan and Montana.
