  1. Stigma against Chinese cars means it should be cheaper. Until people realize they are better than European cars.

  2. I think Chinese are making a statement that their cars quality is higher than European ones therefore deserve higher price. Unlike Japanese and Korean automakers started with cheap cars in the beginning, Chinese are leapfrogging.. it remains to be seen whether consumers will buy it. If not they will lower the price to gain market share for sure.
