  2.  @tonespeaks  it is punitive to many who rely on gas and heating oil and living in remote locations with no EV charging infrastructure.

  3.  @tonespeaks  The poor can't afford EVs. Buying used EVs is a huge gamble. Anything goes wrong, the repair bills and wait time makes not feasible for those relying on own vehicles for work. Why are all the delivery vehicles still burning fossil fuel, and they are the worst kind, making many stops. In China, all delivery vehicles are electric because they are cheap. Why are we not allowing cheap Chinese EVs? Removing tarrifs and stop following the US is the best way to further adoption, not punitive carbon tax. Allowing people to afford cheap reliable EVs is a lot better.
