Sinophobia in Europe, plus they are conscious about Chinese invading one of their most important industries - auto. In markets that BYD is doing well - Australia, NZ and Asia, there is no significant grassroot auto industry.

@stevenjones916 I think it doesn't matter. If BYD sold their cars as lower prices they will still not buy it simply because it's Chinese brand. It will actually reinforce negative perception on Chinese brand if they are priced too low.

@greghudson9717 my point exactly. It's going to take a long time for the perception to shift or it requires a huge technological leap like if Chinese brand achieved FSD before Tesla does for example then it'll probably convert a lot of Chinese haters into believers.
