  2. We will look back on this period in history as China leapfrogs the US, starting with EVs today, and in the next 5 years semiconductors and AI. And in 2030, Tesla relocates its HQ to Shanghai.

The fires you cited are usually PHEV, or older models of BYD cars that used previous generation of batteries, or are PHEVs.   9.  @KP-xi4bj  jaguar ipace uses the same battery from LG and has recently had several fire incidents. And recalls. The new BYD blade batteries are much safer and several other new Chinese batteries are miles ahead of Korean competition by a mile in terms of fire resistance

  10.  @KP-xi4bj  I didn't say only American EVs. Read my original post. The US doesn't make any batteries. It's China vs Korea and Japan at this point. US is irrelevant. Even Tesla had 140 fires , some of which are parked while charging, as recently as March 2024 in new Orleans. Anyway you can't deny the new Chinese batteries are much safer than competition.
