Just more excuses not to get it right the first time. If it's easy to do ota update so frequently so no incentive to make a correct system that endures. What happens when the company stops supporting the model either because it's getting too old such as iPhone 4 or older, or the company goes out of business? Your car dies if the company no longer exists? This wasn't the case with older cars made in the 90s or before, they can continue to function as long as the owner takes care of them. Software driven cars are completely at the mercy of centralized control of the corporation not the owners

@tysonn4736 what if Tesla goes bankrupt. Tesla cars become undrivable? I'm against centralization. The fact that your car is constantly connected to the Tesla data server and can be disabled with just one command sent from it should make you think do you really own this car? A hacker or a disgruntled employee were to sabotage this vulnerability yet to happen but remains a danger.. If Tesla were to put this on a block chain and make its software open source to allow users and outside developers to scrutinize and modify then I'll buy it.. Otherwise they are just copying the obsolete walled garden metrology from apple.

@tysonn4736 true. I'm all for electric cars but not computer on wheels. Especially that computer is connected to a corporate overlord that can control your car at will
