  1. So EVs are not as robust and flexible as gas cars according to Sam. Its ideal use case is to charge at home and use it for pre-planned short commutes within its range. If you don't have home charger and have sporatic driving schedule with variable range, then it's going to be less convinient than gas cars.

  2.  @mvoetmann1  that's true but assuming life is always constant. What if it changes or or unplanned emergencies that you have to drive outside of you EV range? Aren't you just trading robustness for cost saving?
