Can't blame Chinese people's apprehension on Japan. Japan not only killed millions of Chinese but also conducted human experiments and other atrocities. Unlike Germany, Japan never paid a dime in reparation to China nor even admitted responsibility for atrocities commited in China.

@juliahello6673 If your grandfather stole from my grandfather a goldbar, and passed it on to you. Even though you are not criminally responsible for what your grandpa had done, you are still required to give it back. You get my drift?

@wongjock648 whether not you care is irrelevant. It affects a lot of Chinese people opinions on Japan, by extension their products sale in China.

@DavidSeto-i2q because Germany at least attempted to make right by paying reparations to holocaust survivors. Americans to native Indians and descendants of slavery. Whether or not they are enough is debatable but at least they admitted the wrong and paid some reparations. Japan did none.

@juliahello6673 No of course not, but the current generation of Japanese are enjoying the benefits from the plunders of their ancestors and therefore only fair to pay reperation to those who their grandparents plundered from. Much like European powers plundered from some parts of world resources and slave labours to build their industrial foundations that resulted many riches and technonological and socieital advances which laid foundation for the current Western superiority. Just like America is admitting the wrong doing of enslaving blacks and now giving African Americans and certain minority groups some advantages in jobs school positions in effort to right the historical wrongs they have suffered. Germany paid billions in reperations to survivors of Holocaust their parents and grandparents have done, it should be the same with Japan. It's only fair they pay back the debt they owe China with interest. The longer the keep ignoring it the more they owe and the more Chinese peoeple feel the are entitied to take back.

Most Japanese people I come across feel bad about what their ancestors have done during the war and one Japanese guy who became my best friend his grandfather was actually served in imperial Japanese army in China during the war. He had a lot of guilt and helped me a lot during my time in Japan because I am Chinese. Japanese government however is a puppet of the US. They could care less.

@paulstubbs7678 you give Japanese government too much credit. I think they are just too dumb to realize Bev are more realistic than fuel cell hydrogen technology. They have been pushing hydrogen for decades even when relationship with China was much better way before Trump kicked off trade war.
