@Abebe345 It's not about how often you have to use it. It only takes one mistake to crash your car. It should be as easy to operate as possible to be safe. It is clearly disadavantageous with no stalk, and yet you are defending it as if it's some stroke of genius Tesla came up with cost cutting measure.

@GG-si7fw Tesla is cutting corners, yet you are praising them. what a cult following.

@davidmarkmann6098 if I'm a fool then I still deserve to be safe. That's what fool proof safety feature means. I don't want to have to be smart enough to learn some fancy high tech gimmick just to be safely operating a car. If you think I'm fool or ignorant it doesn't invalidate my argument.

@jamie-ck6js Lambo and Ferrari are not for mainstream. A mainstream vehicle like model 3 should have safety in mind for all people, not just nimble and fast learning young people, but it should cover all age groups of people with varying abilities.

@GG-si7fw yes from engineering perspective and from corporate earning point of view it's great. Not from users point of view it's completely different. An analogy would be manual transmission vs automatic transmission. Manual transmission is by far a better engineering solution than automatic it's simple, more efficient, lighter and as you say it does more with less . Last longer and more reliable and cheaper to make. But it's damn hard to use and you need users to train to be good at it. That's my point. Stalkless is simpler and cheaper to manufacturer but not a better user experience.
