@MGiosparky Thanks for looking into that because that's my main concern as I am very a light sleeper and live in a small house. I have a fairly new AC unit just outside my bedroom a floor below. Fortunately, it doesn't get hot enough here in most summer nights, I can turn it off by the time I'm in bed. On a rare occasions when it's really really hot, and even my neighbours AC is humming all night, I move to basement. But they only happen a couple days a year, so it's not a big issue. But winter is long here, and heat is needed most at night. So I can't afford to lose sleep every night during the winter if heat pump compressor makes the same level of sound as an AC unit. I guess if you live in a larger house, and far away from the heat pump you don't hear it, but it all depends on the proximity and sound insulation of your building.

@paddylogan13 burning things is still the most efficient way to get heat

@Mauricio17-x1p doesn't work in really really cold places below -10c. It loses efficiency and the noise and vibration from the overworked heat pump is as stress inducing as it may shorten its life. I'd rather stick with fuel based heater in the extreme cold as I know its reliability lie in its simplicity.

@MGiosparky how noisy was it? If it sounds like an ac all night one can't sleep
