  1. I have a feeling that NIO will go bankrupt within a couple years, then get bought up by a legacy auto - GM most likely.

  2.  @Ghosy01  For the next 2 - 5 years, they will still have enough cashflow from legacy ICE business I think. But they will fail to transition into EVs, thus the reason to acquire near bankrupt Chinese EV companies with technology and expertise GM needs to transition into EV. Nio will be re-branded under GM and sold into the US as American brand. Just me dreaming this up of course.

  3.  @esaw7067  I don't see it happening . Tesla was against battery swapping in favor of fast charging. As well they take completely different approach to self driving. Unless Tesla admits Nio was right and they were wrong, I don't see what Tesla has to gain from buying Nio.
