So a Japanese brand is masquerading itself as a Chinese brand because Chinese consumers see Japanese EVs as inferior to Chinese. Wow I never thought this day would come so soon.

@paulb1951 Everyone's opinion is interesting to me. It is true Toyota is still doing well in ICE car market. but we are not talking about ICE cars. Japanese ICE cars are still the best in the world, but their EVs suck. Objectively speaking. If the future is moving towards EV dominance, then Japanese car makers like Toyota will no doubt shrink or even go bankrupt. I don't think they will ever catch up to the Chinese and Tesla. Their only survival is somehow ICE cars remain a large market segment. That is quite possible in Trump gets elected.

@paulb1951 if you mean phevs yes Toyota has a few good ones. And Bev, Nissan leaf is the only acceptable one.. do you know other good Japanese EVs?
