Since when is subsidies are criminal? The US subsidizes its farmers, as with many other countries. EU subsudizes heavily on Airbus. I think government subsidies are all fair and game. Results may vary if a country can afford it.

@Wongseifu548 Boeing and Airbus received billions in subsidies from their respective governments for decades for exactly this purpose trying to out compete one another. If the US and Europe governments were serious about EV they would try to match Chinese subsidies with their own. And may the best player win

@Wongseifu548 that's what Boeing and Airbus did for decades. They received massive subsidies from their respective governments trying to out compete one another. That's capitalism. Your goal is to crush competitors. I say instead of trying to stop China, the US and Europe governments can increase their own subsidies to compete with China. What's the harm in accelerating EV and green tech adoption and reducing prices for consumers? None.
