  1. Most of EVs especially Tesla requires repairs at dealer or Tesla service center, you can't do it at any third party shops. Tesla would inflate repair cost to bill insurance companies. If the car is covered by Tesla insurance, then Tesla shops would use the cheapest way to repair. Shady business practice indeed

  2. It has to do with Teslas right to repair issues. Repair cost of Tesla is very high because they don't allow third party shops to repair or even sell parts to anyone other than their own repair centers
