  1. The problem is the cost associated with recycling. Battery chemistry deterioates even when unused unlike ICE counterparts. EVs are good for high utilization use cases, not so much for low mileage users.

  2.  @adr2t  as long as you drive just a little bit once a month, oil and lube won't seize up. My lawnmower is still running strong for 30 years. I doubt any battery will last that long.

  3.  @adr2t  I don't mind the hassle of charging the EVs. I don't like the fact that we don't know how long the current battery technology how many years can these batteries hold charges? It seems to depend on calendar againg rather than mileages unlike ice cars engines age dependent on mileage
