  1. Don't forget the EV transition especially in China where over 50% new car sales are EV now. They also have the world largest solar and wind farms and retiring many coal plants. Oil demand from China will never rise again but still decline gradually over time

  2.  @michaelgill1301  I agree.. I'm not calling for complete elimination of fossil fuel. But the need will be greatly reduced.

  3.  @bwbw3647  These new coal plants are for manufacturing and far away from urban areas. Air quality in the cities have improved drastically.. With the way global economy is decoupling from China, rhese new coal plants may not even be operational most of time as factories don't have demands to export all these goods.
