I honestly disagree, full stop. Some of the happiest times in my life have been traveling around, just meeting strangers, hooking up with the local women. Then moving on unattached.

That definitely happens. Especially if they're not a close friend, but just kind of an acquaintance that I'll tolerate, or even enjoy a conversation once outta 5-10x they start yapping....but then I see out on e.g. a tinder date & I can't help but think "she's not gonna bang this loser, but I'd like to bang her & possibly could"....a couple days ago, I had some sadsack old acquaintance who cries at bars confront me about "ruining" a chance he had with some woman about 2 plus years ago, because I flirted with her for 30 seconds. Suffice to say, men are more desperate than ever these days, and I don't necessarily think it's my duty to "respect" them or their sad attempts to bed women who aren't attracted to them. I guess that's the old school pua coming out in me LOLOL.

Controversial Opinion I disagree with Dr Taraban to the point I'd make this assertion: A LOT of men in the USA would live happier lives trading in their small town or suburban existence in the USA (with their male friends &/or their American wives/GFs & their churches & dysfunctional USA communities)... Trading that for a nice hotel room in an international city with a variety of bars, restaurants, nightlife, & the wherewithal to bed women there. I honestly believe that'd make American men much happier in general than what they put up with here in the USA - & just COPE with via male friendships in a sea of untrustworthy wives/women, untrustworthy communities full of divorce & broken families etc
