  2. Well articulated point. A tangent to this is the serial monogamy culture of recent decades. Men in unmarried committed relationships experience firsthand that women are Just. Not. Loyal. So a lot of men have said "the hell with that", & keep it "casual" after those experiences.

I think there has become this reductionist view in the Online World of 2024 that attractive men are only out there either pumping and dumping...or are husbands in long term marriages. There are definitely guys like me who have been in many relationships, and also had a lot of "casual" s3x, and concluded that just dating & s3x without expectations or a commitment is literally As Good As It Gets. A man who can get laid & doesn't want children derives Absolutely. Zero. Value from not only marriage, but any kind of commitment, especially serial monogamy - which is a total waste of time and guarantees missed opportunities elsewhere.
