  1. My friend had a dog, several decades ago, untrained, but it would alert him, giving him time to get to a couch, his bed, any soft surface to prevent accidents, as his fitting occurred. He had an implant embedded in his skull, as he got older, which senses a seizure and sends a short burst of electricity to the required area, stopping the fit in it's tracks. He isn't even aware of it and leads a normal life.

  2.  @mygirldarby  I'm glad you mentioned seizures, as they were not dealt with in the vid. Alerting the sufferer allows them time to at least approach a soft surface to cushion their fall. I live in Glasgow, Scotland. A friend has a visible implant in his skull, it looks like a small electrical port, which shocks his brain, when it senses an impendung seizure. He isn't even aware a fit has been averted on these occasions. He's been nicknamed 'Borg' by me and our group has adopted it. Thankfully, he's quite pleased with it. 😂

  4. A quick update... Dogs' sense of smell is linked to their hearing, recent studies show! By all accounts, no other species on the planet share this connection.
