Same with Old English, High German, etc.
Most languages are organic, meaning they change with times, even words themselves do.
Nice, since it's introduction into the English language, from French, has changed meaning at least eleven times, for example.
The others I regard as dead languages, akin to Latin, because they remain static, unchanged.

"Of course, Jesus wasn't European, though."
No shit, Sherlock. ๐๐๐๐
He was a fictitious character, based upon earlier fictitious characters from earlier religions.
Research the details...a demigod, born of immaculate conception to a virgin on 25th Dec, performed miracles throughout his lifetime, , sacrificed himself to save humans, arose from the dead and ascended to sit at the right hand of his equally fictitious father.
Know how many results you'll get?
Dionysus, Krishna, Adonis, Buddha, Hermes, Mithras, Zarathustra, etc, and all predating the new kid on the block, christianity!
Jesus wasn't even a demigod in the beginning of the tale.
Character development took place by the Council of Bishops in the mid to late 300s, because converts to this fledgling religion were returning to their pagan gods, as the imaginary Jesus was boring, had no special powers, was, basically, a mortal human, just like they were.
The church was being bled of both finance and credibility, so the bishops jazzed him up.
Don't just take my word for it.
Undertake your own researches and discover the truth.

You really should employ the internet for unbiased research.
Who knows, it might restore your sanity, however, I highly doubt it, as your particular brand of mental instability, ie religious fanaticism, rarely fares well, when met with empirical facts, which usually results in cognitive dissonance by those like yourself, who were too weak to withstand the brainwashing process you underwent.
Look into your fictitious Jeebus.
He's a religious mish-mash of earlier imaginary characters, plagiarised from earlier religions; Mithras, Buddha, Dionysus, Hercules, Krishna, Horus, Zarathustra...the list goes on and on, all demigods, born of immaculate conception to virgins on 25th December.
All performed miracles, (the wine being one loved by the gullible) during their often short lives, all sacrificed themselves to save the human race, all died, arose from the dead and ascended to sit at the right hand of their imaginary fathers.
Don't take my word for it.
Undertake your own research and learn.
You've been well and truly hooked by the story of a fisherman.
You swallowed it hook, line and sinker and, if your mind is capable of accepting undeniable truth, you'll accept all you are doing is repeating the same claptrap you were taught, when you were a trusting child, malleable, seeking knowledge.
You were betrayed by others that trod the fool's path before you, those you looked up to and believed had your best interests at heart.
Take comfort...you are far from the only one by a long chalk, but the sad fact is you are too far advanced, in your own mind, down the wrong path to turn back.
You are incapable of tearing down the false construct you have built your life upon, have invested too much, to have the courage to start from scratch, older, but wiser.
Your ego is unhealthy, therefore incapable of assimilating undeniable facts or constructive criticism, but I wish you well in your ignorance of the truth.
