  1. Second comment, nine months after my first... SIR Starmer! What didn't people get? His hero is Blair, (probably The Milk Snatcher, too) ffs! Nice guys come last, particularly in modern politics, but Corbyn didn't seem to grasp that basic fact. Fairly recent history within labour shows what Blair did to Brown to gain control. He obviously didn't grasp the seriousness of the threat against himself or go on the attack against the antisemitic smear by pointing out that zionism is a political ideology and nothing whatsover to do with religion. Personally, I've always liked him, but thought him too naive for politics, as it was blatantly clear the moment he was seen as a serious threat to the estalishment they'd do all in their power to remove him and he was clueless as to how to defend himself or go on the counterattack. If he started up a new party, based on genuine socialist principles, this modern Labour Party (excuse me, while I laugh sardonically) would haemorrhage the majority of it's members in a short space of time. As Ken stated, Labour, as it stands, is lost to the common person and is irretrievable. There is no chance of bringing about change and anyone trying will be expelled. Better a new party, set on old principles, rather than wasting precious time and energy. The red tories have control of Labour and will never relenquish it. I cannot see any other viable alternative.
