Same with the defence system sold to the Saudis by israhell to protect their refinery. A couple of Iranian missiles made short work of it and halted production, costing the Saudis who knows how many billions. I think Russia sold them the missiles, although I'm not certain.

No. US and allies, namely their Military Intelligence, will monitor how Russia conducts a modern day Winter Campaign, in order to spot weaknesses, which they hope to exploit, if they ever have the courage to stand face to face with Russian forces. Bear in mind they are psychopaths, so sacrificing Ukraine is a small price to their minds, in order to gain a potential advantage at some point in the future.

Zelensky is a Western puppet, so has no say in events. US and allies want to observe Russia conducting a Winter campaign, hoping to spot potential weakness they might exploit in future scenarios. They've accepted that Ukraine will lose, but probably feel their money and arms were well spent and Ukraine a small price to pay for the knowledge gained.

In return they've utterly decimated Ukrainian forces, so zelensky has to rely on allied mercenaries and whine like a little bitch for more arms and money. @loganknezovich8394 Hypersonic missiles, which both Russia and China possess, travel at Mach25. They are not difficult to hit. They are impossible to hit, as no defence system by any country, Russia and China included, can match those speeds. Even a pre-emptive strike on either country would still see their missiles hit their targets minutes ahead of our's arriving. We wouldn't get time to see our's land.
