All politicians are born liars.
They are narcissists and lying is just one facet of this mental instability.
When people finally accept this inescapable truth they will feel less betrayed by politicians.
They entered politics because they think they are smarter than everyone else and that the majority of people are stupid, so need to be told what to do, how to live their lives, need more regulations and laws.
They lie and say they want to make peoples' lives better, but they never do, yet their own lives and those they are surrounded by always improve, at our expense.
This individual, being interviewed, has seen how sick folk folk have become at how blatant politicians now are.
He has admitted lying.
He wants power, again, on the back of public outrage, so will happily exploit that.
He hasn't changed...he's merely employing different tactics.
Narcissists are very good at doing that, at telling you what you want to hear, at convincing you that you've got them wrong, at pissing up your back and telling you it's rain.
I observe him the same way I would a snake...fascinating, almost mesmerising, but dangerous af!

Russel Brand?
I'm guessing you're fairly young-ish, around 30 yrs old or so.
Folk have been saying this for centuries, about the system and it's effect on people, however, the capacity for corruption has to be within the individual/s involved.
The system, regardless of what country or flavour, was set up by corrupt people, be that politics, law, military, police, etc.
Power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely
Lord Acton. 1834 - 1902
