This occurs in many other fields of study. I started watching a series on YouTube about a certain ancient language. The presenter said she could not answer a viewer's question because she hadn't got that far in her textbook. It turned out that she was in her first term! This is a bit like when students are made to give presentations in class. The rest of us know the presenter has (probably) read the chapter, but not necessarily understood it fully. But at least they are not asking for Patreon subscriptions.

@doecheng5148 Don't assume that all expatriates living abroad understand their old official language well, or can explain its grammar. That includes your own parents. They may only be at the level of the average YouTuber, such as the person above who said, "Duolingo learned me more Spanish than expensive very crappy grammar book."
