What I don`t get, is why Ukraine should give all this stuff to to the US. They are offering to Ukraine basically an unconditionall surrender to Rusia, and Ukraine can perfectly surrender unconditionally to Rusia for free! And now I get why the EU is so "eager" to guarantee Ukrains post-war safety, even sendind our own troops! We want that precious minerals for ourselves! Meahnwhile, an entire generation of ukranians has bleedeed in the battlefield, for nothing!

@RemikoLucce We were trying to convince the ukranians to adhere to the Minsk-agreements, avoid the war and play the long game. Sadly the brits and the US had other plans, and when they told Zelensky that they would support Ukraine "with whatever it takes", he choosed to believe them. Don`t get me wrong, the invasion is totally Putins fault, but it is not as he had any feasable alternative at that point. Indeed, BEFORE the war, Putin was perfectly OK with Ukraine joining the EU, as long as it didn`t join NATO, Sevastopol was recognized as russian territory, and Ukraine adopted a federal structure, with eastern (russian ethnic) self governance and mutual veto-right in external politics. Not ideal, but not the worst deal in the world (and certainly better than what they are going to get now) But as I said, Biden and Johnson had other ideas........
