Fighting against Israel must be like fighting a bunch of aliens from outer space (I am soeaking here of the techonological leap)........thing is, to prevail, they need absolut supremacy 24/365 year after year, with not a moment of failure.......all you need is a good day......but remenber hate the sionist, not the israeli. This has probably more to do with the napoleonic invasion of Spain (under the excuse that the where just "marching through", while trying to invade Portugal), than with the peace of Westphalia. But, hey I am spanish citizen. A spanish citizen who lived many years outside of Spain, and was offered several times to become citizen of my guest-nations........ I refused every time. Because, if couldn´t be spanish, the only other thing I would accept, would be beeing french........ the second best option in the whole world........

The spanish crown was broke, short of manpower, and had uprisings that where more and more frequent every time........ Without peace it would probably simply disolved.....not that the rest where in much more better position, but a small advantage can make the diference in this situations.....

Even today, if it would rain straight for two consecutive years, with almost no days of sun, most places would have a very hard time. Yes, we have technology that our ancestors could only dream about, but we are also much less resilient, do to urbanisation (and even our farmers can`t operate without a robust chain of suplly). Perhaps places like GB, where it anyways rains a lot, could somehow adapt, but if rained for two years in Spain (my country), we would surely colapse.........
