@zerenx8272 Because for blue eyes to appear and "thrive" through selective pressure (it`s a regresive characteristic), it was not only necesary that the conditions were favorable (less light), but also the mutation had to be present. Till very reciently (in evolutionary terms) comunication between Scandinavia or GB and Congo, or the Amazon was not an easy task. If the mutation did not appear spontaniously in that regions (or appeard, but got erased for any reason ), it wouldn`t have been easy for this mutation to travel through a lot of well ilumiated places (were people with blue eyes had no advantages, and would have been absorbed into the dark-eyed population), to just reach a place where it happens to be of any use for the people that have these gene........(giving them an egde in surviving and reprodcution-terms)
