  1. If the goal of the russian army was just to fix the defenders of Kiev, they could have done this easely just staying in Belarus... I don`t think that the ucranian army had dared to send their troops east with 50.000 enemy soldiers just waiting on their northern flank. This said, something is wrong. YOU JUST DON`T TELL THE ENEMY WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO NEXT.... Can someone imagine the allied forces anouncing that they were going to attack Normady instead of Calais? Or the soviets telling to the germans that they were going to concentrate their efforts in the Stalingrad sector? Something seems just wrong.....

  3. This could be indeed a good strategy. The ukranian part had agreed to pospone the issue about Donbass and Lugansk for 15 years..... a wealthy and (more) developed Ukraine, integrated in the UE, could be, in 10 or 20 years, something very atractive for the people of these places, who (lets face it) don´t seem very keen of beeing part of Ukraine right now.......
