Loyalty must go both ways. If you feel that your country is not loyal to you, that your army and policeforces act basically as an foreign ocupation force in your own country, and that you have to obey the law and pay your taxes, while the rich and powerfull don´t, it is likely that you will show them middlefinger when they ask you to risk your life in the defense of the same people that have been screwing you all your life........ This is, more or less what happened to the western roman Empire in its last 300 years. If you read the laws they released to punish the ones who avoided recruitment, you notice how far they went to achieve their goal. For example, a law specifically established death-penalty for all people who cut off their right thumb to avoid recruitment.....so popular was this method.......

@destroytheboxes Ok, but for example, I have been told that 25% of the homless people in USA are veterans. They should be ashamed of such a situation. Ashamed!
