  1. The invasion of Russia was delayed to help the italian army with their mess in the Balcans, including the invasion of Yugoslavia. If they could have started Barbarrosa in 15th Of May instead of 22th of June that would have given the Wehrmacht 5 weeks more of not-winter campain! Would this have been enough to defeat the soviet Army and/or take Moscow? We will never know. But it is very clear that the brillant performance and fierce resistence of the greek army, and the pro-british coup in Yugoslavia where of crucial importance for the outcome of the following russian campaing........ So, blame the italians!

First off all, when the German crushed the allies in the French campain, the french army was just at the start of assemble their Tanks (that where at the moment not inferior to the German) into armoured divisions, and adopting a more modern doctrine in their use in battelfield. Given enough time, the German would have faced a french army equivalent to their own, not only in equipment, but also in tactics and combined-force doctrine.......
