@MontyTheMothman We cannot judge people from other time-periods with our values. Saying that the viking did things "wrong" is just like saying that the aztects did, or the zulus, or the romans. It is just how things were made then. SOME values are almost universal (like the rejection of incest), but in the year 1.000 for example, torture and death penalty were comonly acepted as part of the legal system, and nobody ever had heard nothing about "innocent till proved otherwise". Who knows what kind of moral values our descendants will have in 1.000 years. Probably they will have little in common with ours. That dosen´t mean that ours are "wrong"

@moralityisnotsubjective5 Beeing honest, I higly doubt that anyone of us, except perhaps some history student serving in the special forces would be able to survive in this enviroment, if we were suddenly transported in time....... Unless you were someone of almost mithic knowledge and abilities, you were doomed without local conections, beeing backed up by your tribe, family or group, and without the necesary skills.......

For viking society of medieval times, "multiculturasim" was having a child with some slavic or britain slave, and even if this child came out as "not so nordic", given that it could only reproduce with other nordic fellows, the grandchildren, or the children of the grandchildren would be almost nordic again in apperance. If you want to make films about multicultural societys, make a film about the roman empire. There you could find almost all kind of people. We know for sure that there were regular conection between the indian subcontinent and the roman ocuppied Egypt, so you can even make apear some indian actor (unlikely but still posible). Almost all kind of etnicities but chinese/asian.......
