  1. People tend to forget logic when their little kids are afected. They are scared and don`t think straight. Also, the same infection that is simply VERY unpleasant for a healthy adult (no need to go to a hospital), can endanger young childs live, that of elderly people, or that of people with preexisting conditions.......

This could work in Europe, where we can take as many sick days as we need, STILL get payed 75% of our salary, and can`t get fired while on leave......in other places (like the Us) no parent will stop showing up at work if it means his children don`t get food on the table or he can loose his house...... no way........
