  2. Nowadays this war would be nearly imposible to win for the vietcong and the north. Fighting against USA military or it`s near allies (israel, saudi arab, and UK for example) is like fighting a bunch of aliens from outer space. The technological leap is too big for all, but perhaps russian and chinise. The only hope for succes is making the war to expensive, so that even a victory would mean that the winner would not be able to get any profit from his conquest. It`s "easy" for the yemen resistance, wich already fight in a devastated country that no one in his sane mind would want to invade, and it`s posible for the palestinians, if they torch their soil and poison their water resources (transforming cisjordania in another gaza), so there is no reason for israelis to stay there. But if you are "unluky" enough to have inside your territory valuable resources you cannot destroy (oil, uranium, coltan), the best you can do is surrender from the begining, and try to get the best deal out of it........
