They have their own problems. For example a real state buble that makes that of the west look like a wlak in the park, an aging population do to the past "one child" policy, agravated by the disbalance between men and women (because back then families prefered to have boys than girls, if they could only have one child, and countless girls were terminated before beeing born), and the emergence of the "leftover women" (women that are so succesfull in their careers, that they can`t find a situable partner in their earning-range, and end up single and childless), plus endless social, ethinic and enviromental tensions and protests that require a 24/7 supervision (represion) to be manegable. Yes, China is rising, but it has its own big weakneses..........

@mukamuka0 From here (EU) it doesn`t seem to be to much difference between the CCCP, the republicans and the democrats......indeed, right now the CCCP appears to be more polite. Of course, the want to f*ck us, too. But at least they have the decency to invite us to a fancy dinner and whisper some sweet words in our ears.......

Not only that.......all this 30.000 inocent children, woman and men had relatives, friends, and people who loved them..... Israel has ensured the recruitment forr Hamas for the next two or three generations....... We all know that Hamas is a terrorist group, but can anybody really judge an average palestinian for joining them? It takes a special kind of person to live in peace next to the people who have killed your baby......I don`t know if I could..... Israel critisizes the Palestinian authority for beeing corrupt and haven`t have free eection in over 20 years, but so has Saudi Arabia, and they would LOVE to make a deal with them........

Sure! loosing billions in a few days, rendering your investment in AI worthless, with zero prospects on profit in the near future, having the world stampeding to use a non US world-changing technology, and seeing the inmense prestige your competitor got by gifting it for free to the humanity, all this is good thing......sure)

@sylvaincroissant7650 If you look at their military expansion plans, you will see that they have learned. It acan take them a decade or two, but they are going to be the biggest conventionall military-power in the EU......and that even counting Germanys military expansion program wich also is big......

South Korea has the advantage that they partner with you, and allow you to produce the stuff you "buy" them under license in your country (you ensure production, knowledge and access to spare parts). And yes, in the EU we have some fancy stuff, sometimes even better than that from the US. The problem is that we can`t produce the reauired amount of weapons in the required amount of time. I am sure that the Poles would have prefered to buy Leopards instead of Abrahams and K-2s, but with their current production falcilities it would have taken Rheinmetal a decade or more to supply the tanks in the required cuantity. Us and South Korea can provide the tanks in a fraction of that time....... We need to ramp up out production capacities, if we want to be able to arm ourselves withour having to buy outside.....

He had basically no choice. Beeing an open source AI, if he banned it, US buissness and citizens would be stuck with less eficient AI tools while the rest of the world would thrive using a vast more efficient tool (yielding the same results, or perhaps even better, at a fraction of the cost of using closed sourced US AI tools). It would be like fighting with one hand, while you use your other hand to cover your eyes, rendering you effectively blind. China has just given the US a billions worth kick in its balls, and all Mr Trump can do is smiling and pretend it`s not a big deal......Yeah, sure....... He just got c*ckslapped, and all he can do is smile in return and pretend it`s fine...... For now, you have been defeated, like you were when the Soviets launched the Sputnik. We`ll have to wait and see if you will be able to pull an "Apollo program"-type answer......

Because there rules the PLO, who accepts the right of Israel to exist and cooperates with Israel in the fight against Hamas. Would you say they live a "happy live" under israeli ocupation? Because if the west bank is what peace and cooperation with Israel looks like, no wonder so much palestinians choose to fight........ You should also check the conditions of the indegenous reservoirs when they were established... the famine, represion, alcoholism self-ending and aculturation. The indegenous people of USA rebeled once an again, aginst such conditions and only the threat of a complete genocide made them conede...... by then, 90% of them, were d*ad......
