@davidkettell1073 What? AM I poor and haven`t realized it? Just so you know: 21,4% of the EU population is at the verge of, or just bellow the poverty line. The same percentage in the USA is 25,8%. And in the EU, less wealthy people have access TO THE SAME healthcare as anybody else.........check your facts, please......

@randar1969 There is a videoof a conference with a high-ranking military US-member, who explains that the health-conditions of the general population could become a national-security issue in the future. He explained, among other things, that, actually they have to reject 70% of the pople who want to join their armed forces, do to health considerations (mostly, live-long obesity from childhood on, that leads to their hip-bones beeing unable to perform any heavy task for prolonged time, without fracturing or outright breaking), and that in case of a mayor conflict, that could require a draft, the US would already face significant issues today, wich will only increase in the future.......

@nicodesmidt4034 Ah! The brits and their "opt-outs"......yep I remember that funny times, when the brits threatened to veto all and everything, unless they could only obey the EU-laws they wanted to ("opting out" of the rest). Luckily, that problem has solved itself.......
