  2. Sad thing, is, we in Europe don`t even care anymore. Yes, it`s sad, but we have to keep on grinding. If UK wants something from us in the future, they can call anytime they want. But sadly, they will have to fullfill our requirements..... sorry....... Even without the UK, it`s not easy to establish common rules for all our members, and once reached a consense, we are NOT going to change them, just because a country outside of the EU asks us to.......Nope.

  3.  @johndonson1603  We do not depend as much as they thought we would. British tourists not longer comming over to Spain, are simply beeing replaced by other nationalities. British tourism was (and is still) pretty convenient, but not essential...... And certainly, nobody will miss the young people that travelled here for the weekend, just to get drunk and reach havock.........another Brexit-benefit! Lets just hope dust settles soon, and we manage to get to be good neighbours.......

  5. I think the bigest improvement in the EU lately is the concerted effort to protect out personal online-data, and our rights. This, could become a significant issue in the next future, of not adressed properly, and outside the EU, I don`t see anybody adressing the potential problems of big corporations owning processing and selling our personal information to use it in their advantage.......

  6. That beeing true, it`s not a bad idea to have individual EU countrys backing the proyect and asking the EU Executive to aprove it. You brits should make the best deal you can get NOW with us (Spain), regarding this issue and the one of Gibraltar, because you can bet that a conservative spanish executive (backed by the far right party of VOX) won`t give you the time of the day, and simply veto ANY deal you propose. You COULD argue, of course, that this would affect deeply 15.000 families in la Linea, and affect a 3% of our GDP (british tourism), but that, is a sacrifice our conservatives are willing to make (they basically don`t give a sh*t about the common people)

  7. We won`t let that happen. Nobody wants a failed state at our northern borders and boats with british refugees arriving at our coasts. But it would be a pitty to have your country destroyed just in order to get a preferential treatment from the EU.......when we can STILL negotiate a reasonable deal...... Your goverment just have to accept that for EVERY advantage it wants to have in regard of the EU, there is a condition to satisfy........ Lets just hope they realize this before the first ration-stamp is printed......
