@ALEX-fq7hh The diference is, a private healthcare service will begin to search for ANY excuse in the contract to NOT honor it, the same minute you get a cancer, or some other serious issue (You where late in a payment 5 years ago? Soooooory, no chemotherapy for you!) , while the public healthcare sistem will just take care of you, with no bs.
The private health sistem just want profit, and at a certain point, you are more valuable for them dead than alive, because your expenses in health increases with the age.
A public health sistem just bothers about keeping you alive and sane.......as long as posible.....
So yes, stick to your private sistem. Good luck, you will need it.......

A lot of people hated their neghbours more than the invaders, and were happy to join them, as long as they could leash out on the ones that "had been wronging them since before the dawn of civilization".
Kinda what happened to my spanish ancestors, when they arrived in Mexico. No way they could have defeated the mexicas (an empire that could field 100.000 warriors, if needed) with only 500 men, some war-dogs, horses, metal-swords and armours, and primitive arquebus. They only succeded because the rest of what is today Mexico hated the Mexica-confederation SO BADLY, that they joined the invaders in flocks, up to an army of tens of thousends of warriors........ (they probably regreted it later, but that`s another story)

To be fair, I worked as hotel receptionist for eleven years in a hotel in the Canaty Islands, and all the Us-tourists I met were polite, kind, and behaved very well.
The worst? The english (not the british, the english) and my own people. The best? The people from Luxembourg.
French were OK, as long as you spoke with them in french. If not, they always gave that look that meant :" If you were able to learn english, the only reason you don`t speak french is because you don`t want to"........... wich is, kinda true........
But people from the US, were OK.........unlike the english, your less polite people probably never leave the country......

@wanderlustoceans8205 Sorry, no :( .
But, we are right now 27 countrys in the EU, and there are a lot of oportunities .
I encourage you strongly to get permanent residence in a european country INSIDE the EU, because so you can freely move in the other 26. If you choose to live in GB, for example, you would have to make a lot of paperwork to visit the continent.
If you are strong in IT or Tech, try Ireland. 99,9% of them are nice an welcoming people, althoug you might find from time to time someone that pretends he can`t speak english.
The thing is, since GB left the UE, a lot of foreign inversion, and even national buissnesowners from the GB have been going to Ireland, due to the geographical proximity and the easy acces to the rest of the UE common market.
A lot of buissnes that are actually establishing themselves in Ireland are in need of skilled workers that the irish worker-market is (currently) unable to provide.
Either way, good luck. Hope to greet you soon as my european neighbour.

In Spain, we had a civil war just before the WWII. It was an ugly mess. My grandfather refused to choose sides (and was punished for it after the war), while 3 of his brothers joined the republican side, and one the fascist one. Long story short, the fascists won, two brothers were executed , and one had to go to exile to avoid the same fate, while my grandfather spent 3 years in jail for the crime of not wanting to fight against his own family.
The brother on the "winner" side, seized all family properties, and ensured that the remaning relatives (except his wife and children) lived their lives in poverty, hardship, and humiliation.......... A decade ago, I went to the village where they were born to see the house where my grandfather and his brothers lived their childhood, and tried to reconect with that side of the family. It was imposible. They avoided me like I was going to ask them to give my grandfathers rightfull inheritance back! Don`t know if they are ashamed or hold a grudge against me and my side of the family. In my opinion, their only "crime" is to have loved their grandfather, and they are not accountable for his actions, but I never got to explain it to them........
