Exposing POWs in the media, making statments against their army and goverment, risking them to get punished when they got back or even get their families punished, is not showing mercy And it is against intenational law. How many of them do think have been forced to do this? Some of them seems to have beaten...... Ucranian state is not the ยท"good guy", it is just the weaker bully.

It is probably ment to terrorize the civil population ( "if you keep fighting we will throw our vicious syrians over you") so they ask their army to surrender or to leave the city and fight elswhere. If they were going to use massive infantery-assaults, they would probably ask the iranians to borrow them the revolutionary guard ...... in exchange for five launchable A-bombs, perhaps, ready for plug-and-use. And not that I want to give Putin (or the ayatola) any ideas, but I hope somebody is already working to avoid such a scenario (or some similar)......probably the israelies......
