Kharkiv was never in danger of beeing conquered by the russians, not with the forces they are using on this attack. BUT, if they advance the frontline enough, they can bombard Kharkiv (the second most important city of Ukraine) with field artillery (for wich they have plenty of cheap amunition), instead of having to use more expensive long range weapons, and drones, wich they don`t produce as quickly as conventional artillery amunition........ THAT`S why the launched this offensive, to put Ukraine in an impossible dilema: Let the russians reach the outskirts of Kharkiv and beeing able to flatten it piece by piece, OR move troops from other parts of the front to stop them, allowing the russians to launch new offensives in the weakened sectors........ Somebody in Russia is making his homework!

Indeed. Even through this incursion is militarely not significant, it is a huge slap in Israels face, its reputation of invencibility, and its capability to provide security for its citizens...... both things have been now questioned. It is also a challenge to the palestinian authorities in Cisjordania, that are seen as colaborationists, while the militias in Gaza can present themselves as "freedom fighters", that achieved "brilliant victories" against the occupation forces....... Anything less than a complete re-occupationj of Gaza would be probably deemed as a defeat, but a phisicall occupation of Gaza by the army of Israel is just a nightmare-scenario.......they did it already, and know how it is going to be.......

Just cease the ocupation of Palestine if you are so kind. Your goverment is not better than the russians when it comes to ocupy land that is not theirs. Sad thing is, just 10 minutes of the same sanctions Russia have to endure but aplied to Israel and Saudi Arabia, and the two biggest problems in middle east would be solved...... But hey! Who cares about palistenians an people from Yemen, right? They are not white, and so nobody cares if they die! Just leave.

@dutchpatriot17 It was the Roman Empire the one that expelled the Jews.... when the islamic invasion of Palestina happened, the local christian/greece and the rest of the jewesh population did not see it with bad eyes, becuase they taxed them less than the Bizantine Empire. Indeed, the Arabs didn`t expel the jJews......they just offered them to be free from most taxes......if they converted to islam......wich many of them did over the centurys. Even today, some palestinians can trace their ancestors back to their jewish origins, if they happened to convert 3 or 4 generations ago... So you see.....they jewish people are basically.....fighting themselves..........
