@rogersmith1408 No, no, they have been pretty nationalistic lately. There have even been talks about the removal of the part of the constitution that allows the only self-defense, and the constitution of proper armed forces! They are also allocating funds to develop their own, local produced weapons, instead of buying it all in the US.....both things would have been unthinkable to consider just a decade ago......

Just now, when the US is threatening the EU with tarriffs, I would not hold my breath waiting for the EU to step in and by US-Bonds........

@rogersmith1408 Most probably yes. But the only thing that keep this setup working, is basically TRUST. And trust, can be very, very volatile. It doesn`t even take an actuall problem.....just THE PERCEPTION that things are going downhill could be enough to spark the debacle........ (it`s only paranoia if nobody is hunting you down)

@QoraxAudio Also, oil producers are more and more comfortable accepting other curencys as payment (dollar is stil the King, but some decades ago it was THE ONLY currency to buy oil, today you can, sometimes, pay in other currencies, depending on the buyer and the vendor.......)
