  1. Morbidly obese, obese, and the factors that go with those (diabetes, Heart disease, high blood pressure, etc) are the main cause of being admitted to ICU. Seattle just published in New England Journal of Medicine...ask a doc or nurse they will tell you it's the obese people who are having the worst symptoms.
