He could be a doctor or lawyer, working until late in life is not uncommon for those professions. Tradesmen tend to die shortly after retirement, it's not uncommon for them to still be working.

  9.  @hoosas5998  if you go to the ammo nyc website you can look into setting up an appointment. Detailing is anywhere from $250 - $5000 or more. It depends on exactly which services you want and how dirty your car is.

  12. Because the owner apparently collects cars just to collect them, instead of letting real car guys enjoy them. Jay Leno has more cars than this guy, but he drives a different one every day, and has two full time mechanics and at least 1 full time detailer just for his collection.

  19.  @mellun  I doubt he's making 'thousands'. For some reason people think that every YouTuber is making tons of money. There are very specific rules as to how and when you get paid. For instance, if it's a 30+ second skippable ad (which most people skip after 5 seconds), it has to be watched for a minimum of thirty seconds or you get nothing. Next, most of the money goes to YouTube, not the content creator. Add in all the people that use an ad blocker or jump to the end and restart to avoid all of the ads really cuts into the revenue. Lastly, Larry is REALLY easy on the ads. Lost of creators have ads every 5 minutes, and this video only has three. All of that aside, creating content takes a long time. There's all the time added to details in order to film it, the time spend recording voice overs, days spent editing. Should we not get paid for our hard work? I think Larry probably would keep recording videos, even if he got no ad revenue. The excellent advertisement for his products aside, it's clear that Larry really is a fanatic about detailing, and truly appreciates his fans.

  26. Your English is better than a lot of native speakers I've met. I've seen a lot of YouTube detailers put out 15 minute videos with 5 minutes of information in them. Larry's 20 minute videos have an hour's worth of information in them, and Larry is clearly very knowledgeable. Some people complain just to make themselves feel better. They have no intelligence, no ambition, no talent, no success, so they try to pull down those that do. It's very cringe inducing, petty behavior.

I don't know what country you're in, but the USA has the lowest upward mobility of almost any first world country (better than India, though them being first world is debatable). Some people have health issues, some have trauma. Some just have bad luck, and some can push through all of that. Take myself. If had bad luck, very bad health, and trauma. I just had part of three spinal discs cut out last month. On the plus side, it seems to be helping, and I'm getting a (very) small settlement from the trauma. Between the two I'm starting a business, and in four or five years, if nothing happens to me maybe I'll be to afford on of the cars I clean. If what you're saying is true and you've accomplished what you've claimed without help than good for you. I'm glad you succeeded, but the fact is that you come off like a callous ass. Especially to those that have worked hard, and have at least avoided making bad decisions.

If you/your significant other/customer need to use the car soon after cleaning and you have to use water or shampoo on the interior then do the interior first to give extra drying time. Personally, I lightly clean the exterior (depending on how dirty it is) to prevent getting exterior dirt on my clothes or the car while doing the interior. Then interior. Then go hard core (if needed) on the exterior. If not, another quick touchless once over for maximum cleanliness. But I'm a bit OCD.

Still, he DID give a perfectly valid reason for why he didn't remove the seats. Also, he's a detailer, not a mechanic or a fabricator. As such, the sort of restoration required is outside Larry's skill set. Ie; not his job. Aside from the reason he gave, attempting to pull the seat could potentially cause damage, not something he'd be eager to risk at any time, but especially not right before a sale.
